In Defense of Teabagging

Teabagging is a dirty word in online gaming, it’s synonymous with immaturity, lack of skill and a host of other attributes one wouldn’t want to associate themselves with. It’s also fucking hilarious. Which is why I do it every chance I get. I personally think that the act of spamming that crouch button over the corpse of your fallen foe gets a bum rap and I wanted to try to explain why it’s really not that bad. Continue reading

Why Halo 4 Proves Gamers Have Massively low Self Esteem

Halo 4 is currently kicking so much ass on Metacritic that you’d think it was a Final Fantasy 7 reboot made by Hideo Kojima. It’s a great game, but if you look at how the Halo series has evolved, it’s just playing to stereotype that gamers have low self-esteem.

Extreme Gaming Challenges – To Prove That You’re a Serial-killer.

Gaming is a lot like masturbating, getting really good at it only usually results in you having above average finger dexterity. That said, it’s also really fun. So I thought I’d list some of the more, shall we say, odd gaming challenges I’ve set myself over the years. So if you too have found yourself becoming bored with your games, but still think there’s life in them why not try. Continue reading

3 things people claim are cheap (that actually aren’t)

“Cheapness” is a term that’s thrown around so much in video games culture that if you trademarked it, you’d be buried and killed by the weight of your royalties so fast and so hard your nuts would turn to diamonds. But I feel that the term is used unfairly, because it’s becoming increasingly popular to simply accuse someone of being cheap rather than admit that there are massive flaws in your own gameplay. Here are three common cheap tactics people love to complain about and why they’re total bullshit …

5 Videogame soundtracks that double as love songs.

Now I’ve already written about 5 songs from videogames that could double for workout tunes. But they say that love makes the world go round, working out, not so much. So I thought I’d show the top 5 videogames songs you could probably get away with playing while wooing or horizontal hugging a member of the opposite sex.

5 games you didn’t know were controversial.

Controversy and video games spend more time together than the pages of a bible in a mosque. Most controversy is bullshit and usually caused as the result of poor research. However, it’s also an issue that as gamers we’re going to see, a lot. So I wanted to show you how easily you can make anything seem controversial if you look at it the right way, to remind people that most of the controversy you see, is just people reading into things too much.

Well, we all know that parenting is a difficult task, to say the least. However, when you’re sitting on the child side of the relationship, the whole ordeal feels like a long, boring struggle for freedom. Our 10 year-old selves, feeling like the unjustly punished victim as we sit in the lonely prison that is the infamous naughty step, when all we did was set the living room on fire. Life is so unfair. All Good Things Come To An End…Unfortunately

As much fun as games can be whilst playing them in solitude til 5am in a dark room, there is no denying that when you get the right games, playing them with others can be a much more fun experience. Throughout all of my gaming life, I don’t think I’ve ever had more fun gaming than when me and mates have grabbed some junk food and energy drinks, and prepared for one hell of a games night. However, with the evolution of internet gaming, these experiences seem to be going out of fashion, playing the same games, with the same people, but in the comfort of your own home, without having to make any effort, it’s not difficult to see why people have chosen to go with the times and turn to a headset relationship with their friends.
